Colwell Bay Situated on the West Coast of the
Island this Small Sandy beach offers extensive views over the Solent and is
popular for its Water Sports. Water zoning is provided to ensure bathers
safety. Colwell Bay has been awarded the Seaside award Flag since the mid
90’s this coupled with its Water Quality it really does warrant a day out or
two. During the Summer season the bay
offers a variant of Beach shops and bars where you can purchase a range of
equipment from Crabbing Lines to Flip Flops, Inflatable’s to Wet Suits and of
course the most important Ice Cream’s !! The Needles The
Needles Visitor centre offers a Chair Lift to the Beach and a Theme Park for the
Kids, arriving on the Beach you will be met by the Famous Coloured Sands. If
you have your sea legs why not take a boat trip to see the Needles and the
magnificent Lighthouse. Freshwater Bay Freshwater
Bay offers a great selection of Pubs, Bars, Restaurants, Take aways and its
here where you’ll find your nearest Cash points/ Banks etc. For those not
wishing to swimming in the Sea why not visit the Sports centre for an indoor
swim, or for the keen Golfer, an 18 hole golf course can be found up on the
